Pairing suggestions
The strong presence of tannins results in a wine that goes well with any kind of fatty food. Game and red meat in general. Excellent at the end of the meal with hard aged cheeses.

Reddish purple tending towards purple.

Overall, notes of liquorice, tobacco and walnuts emerge. Hints of coffee on the end.

Intense, distinct, spicy. Red berries, ripe fruit jam, hazelnuts. Tannins mellowed by long ageing in wood, reminiscent of pepper.
